With close to 50 years of experience working on V8s, our team brings unmatched expertise to every project. We are proud to be the only approved Shelby workshop in South Africa, specialising in Mustangs from the classic 1964 originals to the latest generation performance models.
We are also the leading workshop for Cobras in the country. Whether it is maintenance, restoration, or problem-solving. Our workshop has direct access to Hi-Tech Automotive’s parts bin, allowing us to import genuine components for both classic and modern performance cars.

Lindenberg Racing has established itself as a specialist in building exceptionally competitive historic race cars. Our workshop is dedicated to producing high-quality, race-ready vehicles that honour their original character while meeting modern performance standards.
We have a proven track record of delivering builds that go on to achieve success on track. Our work includes three Ford Galaxies, with one currently racing in Europe, four Group 2 Capri Perana, and the Shelby GT350 driven by Peter Lindenberg which secured 3 championship title between 2017 and 2021.
At Lindenberg Racing, we are proud to be the only licensed organisation in South Africa authorised to complete and deliver Shelby Heritage Cars. Each vehicle begins as a rolling chassis (a fully assembled car without a drivetrain) built by Hi-Tech Automotive in Port Elizabeth. These chassis are officially licensed to Superformance or Shelby American in the United States.
Once completed, they are delivered to Lindenberg Racing’s workshop in Malmesbury, where our expert team, approved by Shelby, installs the drivetrain sourced from the U.S. to each customer’s exact specifications. The result is a turnkey Shelby Heritage Car, ready to start, drive, and enjoy. While Hi-Tech builds the rolling chassis, Lindenberg Racing completes the transformation, bringing these legendary cars to life for the South African market.
